Beat the heat and dig some sweet vinyl grooves tonight at the Junction. Got some Gambian funk from Guelewar,
dubbed "an acid trip from Banjul to Dakar" and compiled for the first
time by the always fine Kindred Spirits label. Also, more from Volume 2 of the Spiritual Jazz compilation from Jazzman and Kelan Philip Cohran & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Plus, a new reissue of Ann Peebles thumpin' I Can't Stand The Rain and a few from Allen Toussaint.
