Big things going down at the Mt. Airy Groove this Saturday. We'll debut a great new compilation, The Boston Creative Jazz Scene 1970-1983, from the always solid Cultures of Soul label and check out a double shot of surprisingly funky tunes produced by Teo Marcero on the Laurie label.
Then we'll be joined live in the studio by DJ Prestige of Flea Market Funk! Based in Jersey City, Flea Market Funk is the premier all-vinyl culture site focusing on funk, soul, jazz, hip hop and reggae. We'll talk records, spin some 45s and funkify your Saturday morning. Don't miss it!

Back to our regular programming after last week's Best of 2015 Funky
Vinyl Extravaganza. Still plenty of good grooves for the wheels of steel
this morning, though! Got one for Paul Bley (recently departed) and
some Maynard Ferguson in a seldom heard small group setting. Plus, a new
one from 180 Proof Records on going Strata Records reissue series and a
couple tunes from French guitarist Pierre Cavalli! Stop on by...you're
welcome!
